Altas cruise to 2-0 start, Falcons soar to first win

The University of Perpetual Help Altas whipped the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars, 78-62, for their second straight win in the Cebu City Inter-Collegiate Invitational Basketball Tournament 2025 on Friday night, August 22, at the Cebu City Sports Institute (CCSI) Gym in Barangay Sawang Calero.
John Abis and Mark Cruz each scored 13 while Kevin Guiabao added 12 points for the Altas, who joined the De la Salle-College of Saint Benilde Blazers on top of the table with identical 2-0 records.
As of this writing last night, the Altas and the Blazers were still slugging it for the solo leadership and a guaranteed slot to the finals.
