Thackeray, Pawar take aim at PM after he says Congress will redistribute wealth to minorities
Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (SP) leaders Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar on Monday came down heavily Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement that if the Congress returned to power, it would give the wealth of the people to Muslims.
Modi, addressing voters in Rajasthan, referred to a remark once made by Manmohan Singh, his predecessor. Singh, Modi claimed, had “said that Muslims have the first right to the wealth of the nation. This means they will distribute this wealth to those who have more children, to infiltrators”.
