UK cops shield HC ex-judge

The Hertfordshire Constabulary has provided security to family members of retired Bombay HC judge Gautam Patel in the UK after one of them was physically assaulted.
In a statement to Bar & Bench, the police confirmed the assault and the threats issued against Justice Patel and his family are under investigation. The incidents relate to threats and violence faced by Justice Patel and his family following his 2024 verdict in the Dawoodi Bohra community leadership dispute.
