Imports face forced labour check in US

The Office of the US Trade Representative (USTR) has launched probe into 60 economies, including India, to determine if their governments took adequate steps to ban imports of goods produced with forced labour.
The move has been initiated under Section 301 of the 1974 Trade Act as the US plans new tariffs to replace the levies struck down by the Supreme Court last month, Yonhap news agency said.
