Court rejects Parekh's plea for closure of case

A special SEBI court has rejected the plea of Ketan Parekh for the closure of the criminal case initiated by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for manipulation of market regulations.

The former stock broker had approached the court pleading for closure of the case by way of compounding of the criminal case initiated against him by SEBI, as he failed to pay the penalty.
