Administration prepared for polls

As the polling starts at 7am today, the administration remains on high alert to ensure law and order remains intact and voters can exercise their right to vote without any inconvenience or fear.

Addressing a press conference on Monday evening, District Collector Dilip Swami said, as many as 32,27,051 voters including 16,63,186 male, 15,39,421 female, 144 others and physically disabled 27,964 voters will exercise their franchise in 3,273 polling booths in the district, of which 1,290 are in urban and 1,983 in rural areas.
