The state government is all set to redevelop the Worli Dairy land for a brand new commercial-financial hub.

- FPJ Political Bureau

The 15.8 acre plot was lying unused and was reserved for the dairy development department. It will now be handed over to Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for purposes that also include residential and recreational facilities.

The government decision to hand over the land along with Class I occupancy rights under the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code makes MMRDA the sole owner and will not require knocking on the government doors for the development rights and their disposal.
