Winter in India is a special season filled with festivals, bright sunshine, and cosy evenings.
One of the best things about this time is the delicious winter sweets that appear in every home — Tilgul, Gajak, Rewri, Chikki, Pinni, and Gondh Ladoo. These treats are not only tasty but also full of natural ingredients that keep our body warm and healthy during the cold months.
Why they are good
Indian wisdom says that certain foods give us natural heat and protect us in winter. Ingredients like sesame seeds, jaggery, peanuts, ghee, and dry fruits provide energy, warmth, and strength. This is why many traditional sweets are specially prepared and shared during this season.
