Will contest civic polls together as Mahayuti: BJP

Committees will be formed at the party level for each corporation to work out seat-sharing and other issues
State BJP president Ravindra Chavan announced in Nagpur on Thursday that the BJP will contest the upcoming municipal and local self-government elections as part of the Mahayuti alliance.
He said a joint meeting with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, revenue minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule and himself was recently held to discuss election strategy. The BJP’s core committee also held a separate round of deliberations on the issue.
