TDB to move High Court

A petition will be filed soon in the Kerala High Court by the Travancore Devaswom Board to demand a full investigation into gold-plating works on the Dwarapalaka idols at the Sabarimala temple spanning from 1998 to 2025
TDB president P. S. Prasanth announced on Friday. He said the board’s standing counsel has been instructed to file the case once the court reopens after the Pooja holidays. A detailed inquiry will focus on the quantum of gold used and the persons involved.
The proposed probe seeks to cover the period beginning with a 1998 donation by businessman Vijay Mallya for plating through the present day.
