Metro tag for Jabalpur, Gwalior soon: CM

Terming urban centres "new hubs of development", Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday announced that after Bhopal and Indore, the state would get two more metropolitan cities in Jabalpur and Gwalior.
He also announced inclusion of Jabalpur and Ujjain in Smart City-Mission II and said Rs 370 cr would be earmarked for their development. CM announced that Rs 1550 cr would be provided for roads in urban areas, and promised that urban development would see a transformation (kayakalp) in the coming years.
He was speaking at a programme organised by Free Press to felicitate mayors of various municipal corporations in the state and corporators of Bhopal Municipal Corporation. The event was part of celebrations to mark 42 years of publication of Free Press in Madhya Pradesh.
