FROM 2020 TO 2025

- Dheeraj Kumar

It is the second successive victory of NDA in Bihar polls, as it had defeated the Opposition Mahagathbandhan alliance in the 2020 assembly election too, albeit not that convincingly.

The 2020 Assembly election was a closely contested battle, with the NDA forming the government by a narrow margin. Out of 243 seats, NDA won 125 seats with BJP emerging the largest party in the alliance with 74, JD (U) 43, former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi-led HAM five seats and Mukesh Sahani-led VIP four seats.
