Extradited from Dubai, Shera Batla in cops net

After 3 yrs on the run, crime branch nabbed Shera Batla, drug lord Salim Dola’s aide, in ₹2cr narcotics case
In a breakthrough for Mumbai police, Salman Saleem Shaikh alias Shera Batla,35, a close aide of most-wanted drug lord Salim Dola, was deported from Dubai on Saturday and arrested by the city’s Crime Branch in connection with a Rs2 crore narcotics case.
Batla, a resident of Dongri, had been absconding for nearly three years and was wanted in six major drug trafficking cases across Maharashtra and India.
According to sources, Mumbai's drug syndicates have deep international links stretching to Dubai, China, and Saudi Arabia. The police revealed that Batla played a crucial role in the drug trade, frequently travelling to the Middle East and East Asia to coordinate smuggling operations.
