EPS assails ‘bribe’ to students, women

Former Chief Minister and AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami took aim at the ruling DMK government, accusing it of making election-driven announcements in a bid to secure votes ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections.
Addressing a large crowd at a public meeting in Omalur as part of AIADMK’s 54th anniversary celebrations, Palaniswami highlighted the recent measures introduced by the DMK government, including the provision of free laptops for students and a ₹1,000 monthly financial aid for an additional 30 lakh women.
