Cong alleges diversionary tactic

Senior leaders argued that procedural delays and public messaging surrounding the case had been orchestrated to influence the political environment ahead of local-level electoral activity.Their criticism followed a chain of statements from party representatives who characterised the episode as a calculated attempt to unsettle the opposition’s ranks.

State police officials pushed back against the claim, dismissing suggestions of external interference in operational decisions. A senior officer asserted that investigators were following standard procedures and that the case did not warrant political interpretation.
