Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said that the people of the state had given the NDA coalition an unprecedented mandate by electing its candidates in 164 constituencies, driven by a collective aspiration to rebuild a “destroyed state.” Addressing the “Pedhala Sevalo” public meeting in Unguturu constituency, Naidu said the overwhelming verdict placed a greater responsibility on the government to deliver.

The Chief Minister said that while some mocked the coalition’s Super Six promises, the government proved they could be implemented effectively. He revealed that the state had spent 50,763 crore on pensions in just 18 months, an unprecedented level in India. Every year, the coalition government will be spending nearly 33,000 crore on welfare, amounting to 1.65 lakh crore in five years, he said.
