Ahmedabad SOG seizes ₹10L worth of MD, 2 arrested

In a major blow to the city’s narcotics network, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Ahmedabad Police seized nearly 99 grams of mephedrone, a banned synthetic drug worth Rs9.9 lakh, from three suspects near Delhi Darwaza crossroads in Madhupura on Sunday.
Two men were arrested, and a woman was detained in connection with the seizure, marking yet another significant crackdown on the city’s underground drug trade.
According to Police Sub-Inspector R.K. Vaniya of the SOG Front Branch, the operation unfolded on October 5 during routine city patrols. “Our team noticed a luxury bus named Ashok Travels parked near Delhi Darwaza. As we observed, we identified a man known for previous offences of snatching and robbery,’ said PSI Vaniya.
