Adulterated milk racket busted in KGF: Police

The Andersonpet police have unearthed a well-organised adulterated milk manufacturing racket on the outskirts of KGF, arresting eight persons and seizing large quantities of raw materials, equipment and vehicles used in the illegal operation.
The incident has once again raised serious concerns over food safety and regulatory lapses in the dairy supply chain.
Based on a tip-off, police conducted a late-night raid at a farmhouse in Ballag-ere village, where spurious milk was being prepared and packaged for distribution. Investigations revealed that the accused were using milk powder, palm oil and chemical substances to manufacture adulterated milk in bulk.
