AAP blames Mahayuti govt for pothole crisis in Pune
The Free Press Journal - Mumbai
|September 27, 2025
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has alleged that corruption and negligence are behind the poor condition of roads in the city.
The party said on Thursday that 100km of roads built by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) in 2023, with a five-year defect liability period, are already filled with potholes. According to AAP, multiple agencies — including the PMC’s water supply and drainage departments, state and Central government bodies, and private cable companies — dug up the roads for their work, rendering the liability clause meaningless.
