Surat Police Launch ‘Cycle Patrols’ for Muharram Security

In a first-of-its-kind initiative to reinforce law and order ahead of the Muharram-Tajiya festival, the Surat police have launched a cycle patrol across sensitive areas in the city.
Spearheading this move is Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Pinakin Parmar, who himself pedalled through the lanes of Zone-3, covering Lalgate, Chowk Bazaar, Singanpore, Mahidharpura, and Katargam,
