Pune mandal’s ‘Ek Diva Vanchitkankarita’ spreads festive joy

The Sainath Mandal Trust in Budhwar Peth has been celebrating the ‘Ek Diva Vanchitkankarita’ (One Lamp for the Underprivileged) initiative for the past 15 years, spreading the joy of Diwali among society’s most marginalised groups.
The mandal works with compassion and a sense of social duty to share festive cheer with disabled and special children, migrant workers, the Katkari community, and students who have come from distant places to study. Its activities are carried out in collaboration with other mandals, under the slogan, “Don't ask for help, give an opportunity.”
