Natesan says Devaswom in hands of crooks, seeks CBI probe

Natesan urged a CBI investigation and exemplary punishment for those responsible

SNDP general secretary Vellappally Natesan, whose endorsement of the Global Ayyappa Sangamam was seen as a boost for the Devaswom Board and in turn the LDF government, has changed his plate in the wake of the controversy involving the missing gold from Sabarimala temple.

The disappearance of gold plates at the shrine has prompted Natesan to allege that the Devaswom Board is in the hands of a “group of people” who have for long been exploiting temple assets for their personal benefits. He asserted that no one should misappropriate offerings from devotees, referring to the 30 kg of gold donated by businessman Vijay Mallya.
