Mankootathil's accuser Rini appears on CPM stage

|October 03, 2025
Actress Rini Ann George appeared on stage at a protest in Kochi today, publicly restating her sexual harassment claims against Rahul Mamkootathil MLA and calling out online attacks she says followed her disclosures.
She shared the dais with former minister K. K. Shailaja at an event organised to decry cyber-attacks targeting CPM leader K. J. Shine.
George said she had earlier alluded to misconduct by a young political figure without naming him. “I asked whether leaders entering politics should treat women ethically,’ she told the gathering, adding she was subjected to a vitriolic cyber campaign after doing so. She stressed she had not intended to malign any movement or person by her disclosure.
