Internal reservation: MP slams govt for creating confusion

Chitradurga BJP MP and former Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karjol launched a scathing attack on the Karnataka government, accusing it of lacking political will to implement internal reservation properly and creating confusion through hasty legislation.

"Internal reservation is not ancestral property to be distributed at will. It must be implemented according to constitutional provisions and Supreme Court directives.

However, the state government lacks the will to do so," Karjol stated at a press conference in the city on Sunday.

Karjol criticized the government for introducing a new bill on the last day of the Belagavi session and passing it without proper discussion. "If the government truly had commitment to internal reservation, it would have presented the bill earlier and allowed debate.
