Safe Sip bribe probe. The crackdown, launched on 2 September 2025, saw vigilance teams conduct coordinated raids across 69 excise circle offices.
Vigilance teams uncovered an organised bribe network within Excise offices across Kerala, with officials receiving Rs 2,12,500 via Google Pay from bar and toddy shop owners in Pathanapuram, Pala and Kochi excise circles.
Unaccounted Rs 28,164 in cash and 25 liquor bottles were seized during the inspection, conducted under the banner of Operation Safe Sip.
