Centre attacked over rural job claims

Chief Minister MK Stalin accused the BJP government at the Centre of misleading the public by claiming that rural households are assured 125 days of employment under the VBGRAMG scheme, calling the assertion a “deceptive ploy” that masks deeper structural problems in rural livelihoods.
He also criticised AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami for what he described as unwarranted political backing to the Centre on an issue that directly affects vulnerable workers. Stalin's remarks, delivered at a public forum and amplified through official statements, focused on the gap between announced policy targets and on-ground outcomes.
