Credit to industry, services up 8% & 13.4%, respectively

Bank credit recorded a growth of 12.1% at Rs 178.22 lakh crore as on the fortnight ended March 21, 2025 as compared to a 16.3% increase registered, a year ago, according to a sectoral deployment of bank credit data released by the RBI on Wednesday.

As at the end of March 22, 2024, banks had recorded outstanding credit of Rs 159.01 lakh crore.
