A Malayali may be winner of ₹ 220 cr UAE jackpot

An expat of Indian origin has become the first person to secure the Dh100 million (% 220 crore) jackpot in the UAE Lottery’s “Lucky Day” draw, marking a milestone in the country’s fledgling lottery system.

The winner, named as Anil Kumar B, claimed the prize of 100 million dirhams after his unique ticket matched all required numbers; the sum will remain in a specially designated account until formal verification is completed and a request for payment is lodged, at which point payment must occur within 30 days.

The lottery operator confirmed the draw was conducted in line with its official rules, in which tickets purchased automatically generate a “Lucky Chance” ID and a separate “Lucky Day” number-combination ticket.

Winners may only receive the payout after passing validation checks, including identity verification and regulatory compliance, which is standard procedure under UAE gaming regulations.
