The Karnataka government has acknowledged that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) programs and marches were conducted across the state this year without any disruption to law and order.

This comes despite strong objections from several Congress leaders, including IT| BT Minister Priyank Kharge, who had earlier argued that RSS activities were unconstitutional and should not be permitted in government-related spaces.

The issue gained prominence in Kharge’s home district of Kalaburagi, where permission for an RSS march in Chittapur was initially denied by the district administration citing law and order concerns.

The matter reached the courts, which eventually allowed the procession, marking a significant precedent.
