lhe anxiety gripping thousands of high-skilled foreign workers and their US employers has eased as the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) announced the full resumption of key employment-based immigration application processing, ending a nearly month-long pause.

The halt was triggered by a federal funding lapse during a recent US government shutdown, which shut down vital administrative systems. With services restored, employers can finally move forward with plans for new hires and the visa renewals of existing staff.

The DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) confirmed that its main online portal, the Foreign Labor Application Gateway (FLAG) system, is once again fully operational after being offline since approximately September 30. The resumption of OFLC processing means two critical stages of the US employment-based immigration system are back on track:
