CONDITIONS CHALLENGED | State is questioning attachment of strings to the release of funds under the Central scheme Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan
The Supreme Court on Friday issued a directive to the Union government, requiring it to submit its written statement within eight weeks in connection with a lawsuit filed by the Tamil Nadu government alleging that the Centre is withholding crucial ‘unds under the Samagra Shiksha Scheme, and that the release of these funds is being conditioned upon the state's adherence to the National Education Policy 2020 and the PM SHRI Schools scheme.
