Gujarat CID under scrutiny over %50 cr diamond fraud case

The Gujarat Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Crime is facing intense public and legal scrutiny for its silence regarding the handling of a nearly Rs50 crore financial fraud case against the owners of a lab-grown diamond business.
Businessman Ankushbhai Madhubhai Nakarani filed a complaint against Mahesh Bhagwan Sonani and his son, Jayam Sonani, directors of Diamond Tech Pvt Ltd, for allegedly defrauding him of Rs49.96 crore through false promises of revolutionary lab-grown diamond technology and trading.
