Making strides towards reviving the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC), the newly constituted Board has taken bold steps aimed at both strengthening the corporation’s finances and ensuring better passenger services. The Board in their recent meeting has recommended to the State Government the filling of over 9,000 vacant posts. It also decided to review several controversial decisions made during the previous government's tenure.

In the meeting, a major focus of the discussion was on the rental bus agreements made during the previous YSRCP government. The Board observed that the lease period for nearly 200 private buses was irregularly extended, allegedly benefitting bus owners and causing financial losses to the corporation. The Board resolved to conduct a comprehensive review of these contracts and submit a detailed report to the State Government for further action.
