Tehri bus plunges into gorge, five dead and thirteen injured

Five people were killed and 13 others injured on Monday after a bus carrying 18 passengers fell nearly 70 metres into a gorge near the Kun-japuri-Hindolakhal area under Narendra Nagar in Uttarakhand's Tehri district.

AIIMS Rishikesh PRO Sandeep Kumar said several victims were brought to the hospital with serious injuries, while five were declared dead on arrival. He noted that some had suffered internal injuries and others had sustained head trauma. Two injured passengers from Punjab, identified as Deepsikha and Dikha, have been admitted for treatment.
