SUPREME COURT GRANTS ANTICIPATORY BAIL TO YSRCP LEADERS IN CASES OVER ATTACK ON TDP OFFICE AND NAIDU'S RESIDENCE

The Supreme Court in the case Devineni Avinash Versus The State Of Andhra Pradesh and Jogi Ramesh Versus The State Of Andhra Pradesh observed and has granted anticipatory bail to YSR Congress Party, YSRCP Vijayawada East coordinator Devineni Avinash after the Andhra Pradesh High Court rejected the anticipatory bail application of him for allegedly ransacking the NTR Bhavan, the central office of the ruling Telugu Desam Party, at Mangalagiri during the YSRCP regime in October 2021.

Avinash has been on interim protection since September last year.
The petitioner is accused under the offence as stated under section 147, section 148, section 452, section 427, section 323, section 506, section 324 read with section 149 and Section 326, section 307, section 450, section 380 read with 109 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, IPC.
The bench comprising of Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia and Justice Manmohan was hearing the present matter.
The bench in the case observed and has granted anticipatory bail to former minister and MLA Jogi Ramesh in connection with the allegedly vandalising Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's Undavalli residence along with other YSRCP members in 2021. He was also on interim protection.
