A stroke doesn't wait-it strikes suddenly and silently, often leaving a trail of irreversible damage.

Yet, what many don't realize is that up to 80% of strokes can be prevented, and timely action can mean the difference between full recovery and lifelong disability. In stroke care, every second truly counts.
WHAT IS A STROKE?
A stroke occurs when the blood supply to a part of the brain is interrupted or reduced, preventing brain tissue from getting oxygen and nutrients. Within minutes, brain cells begin to die. There are two main types of strokes:
Ischemic stroke, caused by a blockage or clot in a blood vessel (about 85% of cases). Hemorrhagic stroke, caused by a burst blood vessel leading to bleeding in the brain.
A third, less severe type, called a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) or “mini-stroke,” occurs when blood flow is briefly blocked. It’s often a warning sign that a major stroke could be on the way if preventive steps aren't taken.
