Sitharaman on 4-day Bhutan visit to boost economic ties

Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman is leading the Indian delegation from the Department of Economic Affairs on an official visit to Bhutan from 30th October to 2nd November 2025.
Ambassador of Bhutan to India, Major General Vetsop Namgyel, calls on Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman before she embarks on an official visit to Bhutan from Oct 30 to Nov 2, 2023, at Indira Gandhi International Airport, in New Delhi on Thursday.
According to an official release, the Union Finance Minister will begin her official tour with a visit to the historic Sangchen Choekhor Monastery, established in 1765 and home to over 100 monks engaged in advanced Buddhist studies, later today.
