Punjab DGP, central officials meet Dallewal

The deadlock between Centre and protesting farmers shows all possible signs of easing as Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav has reached the border at Khanuri to meet farm leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal who has been fasting for 20 days on hunger strike.
DGP Yadav, accompanied by senior officials including DIG Mandeep Singh Sidhu and SSP Nanak Singh, urged Dallewal to end his fast, saying his life is far more valuable than the protest.
Union Home Ministry officials including Director Mayank Mishra were also present during the meeting.
DGP Yadav said that the state is committed to solving the problem and added, "We are coordinating with all stakeholders to create an environment that facilitates talks between the Centre and the farmers."
