Pradosh Vrat is one of the most widely observed fasting days in Hindu tradition, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
It falls twice a month, on the 13th day of both the waxing and waning phases of the moon. The word "Pradosh" is derived from the Sanskrit word "Pradosa," meaning the time period around dusk, which is considered auspicious for worshipping Lord Shiva. The fast is observed with the belief that it helps devotees earn blessings from Lord Shiva, ensuring health, wealth, and prosperity. This vrat is observed by many devotees across India and is particularly significant for those seeking spiritual growth and divine blessings.
SIGNIFICANCE OF PRADOSH VRAT Pradosh Vrat holds immense significance in Hinduism due to its connection with Lord Shiva, the God of destruction, transformation, and regeneration. It is believed that observing this vrat with full devotion and faith helps in purging past sins and elevates the spiritual status of the devotee. The vrat is considered a powerful means of obtaining the blessings of Lord Shiva, who is known for his grace and compassion. It is also said that Pradosh Vrat helps in attaining moksha (liberation) and provides protection from all sorts of negative energies.
THE DAYS OF PRADOSH VRAT Pradosh Vrat occurs twice every month. The first Pradosh Vrat is observed during the Shukla Paksha (waxing moon) and the second during the Krishna Paksha (waning moon). The two days are:
Shukla Pradosh -This falls during the waxing phase of the moon, typically after the full moon day.
Krishna Pradosh -This falls during the waning phase of the moon, typically after the new moon day.
Although both Pradosh Vrat days are considered equally important, Shukla Pradosh is often considered more auspicious as it falls after the full moon, a time when the moon is believed to radiate maximum energy. Devotees believe that observing the vrat on this day brings more profound spiritual benefits.

MERCEDES-BENZ GLS450d 4MATIC REVIEW
Cruising serenely at the Yamuna Expressway at around 90 km/h, I was passed by another GLS, that too in the same shade of Black, which compelled me to increase my pace to check if it’s a 450d as well or the previous 400d. Turns out it’s a 400d, and though I had the more powerful car, I slowed down as I didn’t want to give him an impression that I was trying to race.
