Police Seize Drugs Worth Rs 88 Crore in Nashik Range This Year

In a major crackdown on narcotics, police in Maharashtra's Nashik range have seized drugs worth approximately Rs 88 crore since the beginning of this year and arrested 556 individuals in connection with various cases, a senior official said on Wednesday.
Special Inspector General of Police (Nashik Range), Datta Karale, revealed that the seizures include both natural and synthetic drugs, such as marijuana and amphetamines, which were being trafficked or manufactured across different districts in the region. The intensified anti-drug operations come as part of a broader campaign to curb drug trafficking and dismantle illegal networks in the state.
