Parliament breach: HC seeks reply on Jha's bail plea
The Daily Guardian
|August 19, 2025
A bench of Justices Vivek Chaudhary and Manoj Jain issued notice to the police and posted the matter for hearing on October 8.

Jha has challenged the trial court's April 28 order that rejected his bail plea.
In his petition, Jha claimed he surrendered on December 15, 2023, and has since spent 1.8 years in custody. He argued that the case is currently at the stage of arguments on charge and compliance with Section 207 of the CrPC. He also highlighted that while the chargesheet contains 133 witnesses, no Member of Parliament has been listed among them.
