Mahindra CEO backs Govt amid US tariff row

Mahindra Group CEO and Managing Director Anish Shah has expressed confidence in the Indian government's handling of trade negotiations with the United States, stating he is optimistic about a strong and positive outcome for the country from the ongoing dialogue.
With just a day left before US President Donald Trump's proposed 25 percent reciprocal trade tariffs are set to take effect, tensions have escalated. Trump has intensified his accusations against India, claiming the country is indirectly funding Russia's war in Ukraine through continued purchases of Russian oil. He has warned of the possibility of even higher duties if India does not comply.
