Kannada Actor Arrested Hours After SC Cancels Bail

Kannada actor Darshan was arrested by Bengaluru Police on Thursday, hours after the Supreme Court cancelled his bail in connection with the murder of his fan, Renukaswamy.
The apex court said his celebrity status could not shield him from the law.
Darshan reached his wife's residence in Bengaluru's Hosakerehalli on Thursday afternoon. He entered the complex through an alternate gate in a car he does not usually use.
Police sources said he met his wife and son before officers were informed of his presence. A police team arrived at the spot and took him into custody.
