Money dispute led to killing, according to the accused
Two days after the body of a Congress worker was found stuffed in a suitcase in Rohtak, the police arrested the main accused in the case in Delhi on Monday.
Accused Sachin, during police interrogation, confessed to killing Himani. According to the police, Sachin told them that they were in a relationship for some time. He was, however, frustrated with her as she allegedly extorted large sums of money from him from time to time and demanded more.
Sachin alleged that Himani often blackmailed him, which led to frequent conflicts between them. Sachin, a resident of Bahadurgarh, visited Himani's house in Rohtak's Vijay Nagar on February 27. They had an argument during which he strangled her to death using a mobile charger cable. After the murder, he stole her valuables, including jewelry and a laptop, and hid them in his shop.
