'Farrukhabad girls committed suicide'

Days after the bodies of two teenage girls were found hanging on a tree at Bhagautipur village of Kaimganj in Farrukhabad, police made it clear on Friday that the victims had died by suicide stating the post-mortem reports and arrested two accused in the incident.

Farrukhabad SP Alok Priyadarshi said, “After studying the post-mortem report, it has become clear that the girls had died by suicide... Police have arrested 2 accused in the case... It has been found that they used to harass the girls for talking on the phone... Due to this, they committed suicide... Further action is going on in the case...”

Earlier, family members raised suspicions of murder and claimed that thorns were pierced in one of the bodies and the body had marks from a belt.
