'DON'T CARE FOR WHOLE YEAR, THEN BLAME FIRECRACKERS': BJP TARGETS AAP ON DELHI POLLUTION
The Daily Guardian
|November 02, 2024
Bharatiya Janata Party leader R P Singh on Friday slammed the Aam Aadmi Party government for "blaming" firecrackers for New Delhi's rising air pollution post-Diwali celebrations.
-

Following the Diwali celebration, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai thanked the public for maintaining the Air Quality Index near the 350 mark, which the national capital crossed four days ago.
RP Singh blamed the AAP government for the pollution issue, saying, "Delhi's AQI is of concern but not because of firecrackers. Today's AQI is lesser than what was before a day yesterday. The issue is that the work that should've happened in Delhi, has not happened. Delhi needed 15000 buses, 15 years ago, today Delhi has approx 7200 buses. If you do not give buses, people will use their own transport which contributes 48 per cent of pollution."
