Delhi's New Lifelines: PM Unveils Dwarka Expressway, UER-II

Speaking at the event, the Prime Minister described the projects as part of a "development revolution" in Delhi-NCR, underlining their role in improving connectivity, easing traffic and saving commuters' time.

"This month of August is coloured in the hues of freedom and revolution. In the midst of this festival of freedom, today, the capital Delhi is witnessing a development revolution. The Dwarka Expressway and Urban Extension Road will benefit the entire NCR, making travel to offices and factories more convenient, and saving valuable time," he said.

Reiterating his vision of Aatmanirbharta, the Prime Minister said the government aims to make Delhi a "model of development", as the world evaluates India through its capital city.

"When the world sees and assesses India, its first glance falls on Delhi. We must make Delhi such a model of development that it reflects the progress of a rising India," he added.

Modi also highlighted the eco-friendly aspects of the projects, noting that the construction of UER-II has helped reduce Delhi's land-fill waste.
