Delhi seeks Haryana's help after Mungeshpur drain breach

The Delhi government has requested assistance from Haryana to help drain floodwater from Jharoda Kalan and parts of Najafgarh after a major breach in the Mungeshpur drain inundated the area.
The 50-foot breach occurred on Tuesday evening, sending nearly five feet of water into Geetanjali Enclave and nearby areas of Jharoda Kalan village near Baba Haridass Nagar in Dwarka. Nearly 2,000 residents were evacuated and shifted to temporary shelters at Baba Haridas Temple and an MCD school in Jharoda.
