DELHI CM VOWS TO REDEVELOP EWS FLATS IN BHALSWA-JAHANGIRPURI

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday said her government is committed to providing dignified housing for the poor as she inspected the rundown EWS flats in Bhalswa-Jahangirpuri, blaming the previous government for leaving the complex abandoned for years.

Gupta inspected the site, where nearly 7,400 flats were built in 2016 but remained unoccupied for almost a decade. She said the prolonged abandonment of the project amounted to a “serious betrayal” of Delhi's poor families who continue to wait for permanent housing.
