CURTAIN RAISE FOR THE WINTER SESSION
The Daily Guardian
|November 26, 2025
‘The Winter Session of Parliament will resume next week and in the aftermath of the Bihar poll results it would be interesting to see what kind of issues both the government and the Opposition will raise. From the Opposition side the Congress is keen to keep up the Vote Chori campaign specially with the Election Commission set to induct SIR in other states as well including the election bound state of Uttar Pradesh. It would be interesting to see how the rest of the INDIA bloc reacts to this because there was a feeling post Bihar that the issue had not got enough traction on ground/ But Rahul Gandhi seems adamant and to an extent he has the support of Akhilesh Yadav as well.
As for Mamata Bannerjee her state will be going to polls next year and she is more keen to raise state specific issues. The BJP will be taking her on regarding law and order in the state and she would be looking fora diversion of narrative.
